This crisis was extremely specific to Spidey though.

Him and his friends regular lives were in jeopardy due to their relationship with Peter, so Peter went to Strange and asked to cast the spell to make the world forget Spidey’s identity.

The spell was interrupted, and therefore the opposite happened, in that people who did know Spidey’s identity started coming in from other universes, and then Strange wanted to quickly round them up and send them back while Peter was trying to cure them.

It would’ve made absolutely no sense for any other MCU heroes to have any involvement in this movie

no way home is kind of a double edged sword cause looking back it just kind of highlights how bad the mcu spiderman movies have been

i wish marvel would get a better grip on spidey tbh, hoping the next trilogy is a little better but the fact they cant seem to find a characterization for him besides wacky and kid. like don't get me wrong those should be parts of it but its just weird to me that hes been spider-man for like 6 years now, and apparently had no impetus for it ? i guess we'll see if uncle ben's in the origin story series, but so far these other movies make it seem like he's spider-man...just cause he likes it? or that its cool? idk

the goblin, electro and lizard were national security threats... but tbh I dont even know why they didn't cause any other issues just chilled and then met up at the statue of liberty

Did you watch the movie? It would’ve made no sense if any MCU heroes besides Strange were involved in the story of this film. The whole conflict is centered around Peter Parker’s identity, Strange is only in here because he can cast spells and Peter thought he would be able to mind wipe the world

ive been reading spidey since i was 5 and i feel like i have a pretty good handle on the character, its just so lame cause all of the arguments for the mcu's spider-man is that the actions cool, or he's funny, but like damn i wouldve actually have liked to see him have a talk with aunt may about being spider-man and why he does it.

im not trying to add heroes its just dumb that they even exist cuz if strange didn't just disappear for the entire movie he coulda just conjured some random spell to cure the villains anyway and call it a day with how insane his abilities are

But keep in mind, they’re only doing villain stuff for about an hour or two in the movie’s real time.

They’re locked up until Peter brings them to the apartment, then they escape, are free for maybe an hour or two, three max, and then they lure them to the Statue of Liberty.

ah i missed their posts, this thread is going a mile a minute, fandom is just so weird about criticism of the thing they like. But thats the s***ty part of late capitalism i guess where liking an entertainment property has unfortunately become a core part of some peoples personality, so they conflate your criticism of the movie with criticism of them as people
