whenever I think of my favorites of course they looked cool but there was something more challenging to them personally although again I hate comparing. When People ask why so hard on spiderverse its more because I am hard on anything that follows too many tropes or feels too predictable without story risk

The central characters of his dad and mom . Aren’t developed for us enough to see why he is willing to do anything to stop their deaths . He again has an emotional moment with letter who he is forced to cope with the death of . I understand him not wanting to see more loss or to defy fate but that’s literally kingpin in movie 1 the central villain . Whose wife died . Him being prowler on another dimension and being evil isn’t that big of a twist or all that interesting after spending a 12th of a day watching spider society hunt him down in unison and try to imprison him so death happens

It’s always a villain destined to kill the protagonist loved one never just natural causes Lmfao . It’s like they fear cancer , a drunk driver or some normal human occurrence isn’t interesting enough or doesn’t hook people to the idea that the villain is in fact bad. Part of what made eeaao cool to me was it wasn’t a villain that was going to kill jobu but rather herself and her mind . Something more inherently human

It’s never former villain destined to become the hero and you are powerless to save those you love from villains because you have no powers
