Tonight

just got done watching this not too long ago..... thoughts...

Pros - Gorgeous film, more so then the first in almost every regard

• the prologue in this film is my favorite section in the film by far
• the emotional depths in the film and all the character conflicts are great
• loved the voice acting and the great animated facial expressions that made me feel like the acting was done better then most live action films
• the easter egg characters that work WORK
• the antagonists have very compelling arcs and i felt very empathetic for one of them especially (Miguel) very valid reasoning for his motives
  _ the sound track is another banger

Cons- it feels like this movie is one big first and second act....
the film doesn't feel complete, the cliff hanger is not at all good to me, does not feel remotely like it's own complete story like into the spider verse does. like for example infinity war is a complete story on it's own accord that felt satisfying with a cliff hanger that earns investment and big interest for the next film but you could end it there and feel satisfied as is.

• Miguel's ideology fits for his character perfectly but i don't really buy that an entire army of spidermen would follow his ideology. this requires more spoilers to go into, maybe i'll rant about this in spoiler thread later.... felt off. didn't buy it at all.

• some easter egg cameo characters felt off and didn't feel fitting for the film.

overall a 9/10 to me, amazing experience still.

Little Mermaid is going to be occupying the IMAX theaters in my area so I will have to watch this in standard format
