i love across the spiderverse
just don't like the d*** riding acting like it's f***ing with the first lol it's not a finished story
That’s not the worst part of the list bucko
More on what I didn’t like about FFH the stakes were instantly killed for me when we learned Peter is really only fighting tiny drones using vfx especially considering he had just fought Thanos.
And I’m not saying he should be fighting aliens I dont mind a small time Spidey movie but if they were going to go that route id prefer the villain to have some sort of connection to Peter, not Tony, so that at least it’d be more emotionally investing
Captain America going from First Avenger to fighting Loki and aliens in Avengers to Winter Soldier in his sequel worked perfectly because of the emotional connection
Homecoming is the mostly solidly written of the three
NWH is the most visually ambitious and has the best performances
FFH has those dope Mysterio vfx
4 will clear them all easy and I have them all under most raimi
Terrible list
amazing list. the first raimi spider-man is near perfect.
far from home is a underrated and distinctly different story for peter parker in a different environment then the average spidey story with a villain that tests his perception on who to trust, if he can be trusted with great power and if he even wants that power in the first place.
and into the spider-verse speaks for itself, just a masterful FINISHED story, mind blowing animation and compelling characters all around.

you might not like spiderman 4 when it comes out then because it's gonna be more street level then ever lol

Mcu trilogy is Holland trusting anyone he can call dad for 3 movies . If you include civil war and infinity war it’s like 6 movies

I said I like street level Spidey just need the villain’s motivations to be more tied into Peter’s life
The Spider-Man game had Doc Ock & Negative Man both having connections to Peter
FFH felt like he was fighting someone else’s fight and the person was a “man behind the curtain” villain
I said I like street level Spidey just need the villain’s motivations to be more tied into Peter’s life
well this mcu peter's life was tied more closely with tony so it makes sense that mysterio would try to take advantage of him to get something out of him because of tony.
vulture's motivations are inspired from tony but peter interferes with his business
mysterio's motivations are inspired from tony but peter again interferes because not only did mysterio directly f*** with him, it's something peter feels he has to do to protect everyone overall.
i think what i like about this is that while the start is because of tony, these villains get more personally invested with spiderman overall.
Far From Home
He just faced Thanos. Iron Man is dead. There has never been a better time for him to stay his ass in New York and be the friendly Neighborhood Spiderman
Yet another movie of Stark Tech carrying the movie EVEN IN DEATH. When you have the chance to build up Alistair Smythe, Kingpin, Goblin. His own villains instead YET AGAIN THE CENTRAL VILLAIN ORBITS IRON MAN FOR ANOTHER F***ING MOVIE
The need or desire to not have Spider Man face villains that are supernatural , fused with animals or anything that makes them interesting and instead make them huge chunks of metal. This carries over from Rhino design in ASM2
Then No Way Home Dr Strange yet again walks him around and is his Dad as is Norman a villain who openly tells him that he tries to kill Spider Man in his dimension. Trusting Goblin lead to Aunt May death when she risk her life to inject Goblin with what equates to Mountain Dew. Then Goblin has the chance to kill Peter and flies away
Mysterio the one sequence of VFX is cool don't get me wrong but now going into the 4th movie they have built up so little of Spider Man back catalogue, Sinister Six and everything that comes with it. Everything they did build up they erased like an etch and sketch . So even though they said "we got no origin story" the trilogy equates to a 8 hour tutorial of being Spider Man trusting Norman, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Mysterio, Happy and whoever is an adult male
The Spider-Man game had Doc Ock & Negative Man both having connections to Peter
FFH felt like he was fighting someone else’s fight and the person was a “man behind the curtain” villain
S*** IS DUMB AS F***

They really thought they were cooking when they revealed Mysterio was an ex Stark employee
And I was f***ing with the movie heavy before that too, I liked that Mysterio was a wannabe hero
you can't have mcu trilogy over spider man movies because MCU trilogy all really feels like pieces of the MCU universe more than spider man stories. If you aren't heavily invested in Iron Man and his passing it doesn't hit like that
They really thought they were cooking when they revealed Mysterio was an ex Stark employee
And I was f***ing with the movie heavy before that too, I liked that Mysterio was a wannabe hero
i liked it explains his motivations more clearly and reveals how he's able to do his illusions in the first place.
also reveals that tony left a lot of disgruntled people in his wake. people treated poorly by the billionaire. fits with why people would help mysterio be able to do all this so effectively
They really thought they were cooking when they revealed Mysterio was an ex Stark employee
And I was f***ing with the movie heavy before that too, I liked that Mysterio was a wannabe hero
they had something and they said "NAH F*** ALL DAT"

there is no technology company but stark tech in this universe?

I thought it worked great in Homecoming because he was also a father of a classmate
Mysterio was a disgruntled Stark employee that Peter decided he liked as a mentor because there was a void in his life?
I see where you’re coming from and can understand the reasons you like it. It just doesn’t work for me and I’ve tried to like it because I really like Homecoming
The Spider-Man game had Doc Ock & Negative Man both having connections to Peter
FFH felt like he was fighting someone else’s fight and the person was a “man behind the curtain” villain
aside from thanos and green goblin, he leaves the biggest impact on peter's life tbh
They really thought they were cooking when they revealed Mysterio was an ex Stark employee
And I was f***ing with the movie heavy before that too, I liked that Mysterio was a wannabe hero
I wish Mysterio was actually just some magic superhero turned villain because they had some cool fight scenes
I thought it worked great in Homecoming because he was also a father of a classmate
Mysterio was a disgruntled Stark employee that Peter decided he liked as a mentor because there was a void in his life?
I see where you’re coming from and can understand the reasons you like it. It just doesn’t work for me and I’ve tried to like it because I really like Homecoming
i feel you, there's definitely some goofy ass s*** as well that makes it harder to get on board as well with the story.
it is understandable. i like the man behind the curtain villains personally, especially if they leave big impacts on the hero by the end. still not convinced he's even dead tbh lol

all of the holland films are below 7/10
