amazing list. the first raimi spider-man is near perfect.
far from home is a underrated and distinctly different story for peter parker in a different environment then the average spidey story with a villain that tests his perception on who to trust, if he can be trusted with great power and if he even wants that power in the first place.
and into the spider-verse speaks for itself, just a masterful FINISHED story, mind blowing animation and compelling characters all around.
Isn’t FFH technically unfinished since it cuts off after it shows Peter’s identity to everyone and it continues directly after in NWH?
homecoming is classic but i’ve seen it so many times over the years it almost does nothing for me now lol
F***. This thread gonna make me rewatch all the live action Spider-Mans again (just rewatched Into Spiderverse last week)

yea but far from home is still a finished satisfied story beginning to end while
spider-verse full stops on a cliff hanger with a to be continued

nah lil bro. you have a full three act structure, peter's arc in that movie is complete, the villain is defeated ultimately, the trip is over.
infinity war was a complete story and even though it left a cliff hanger you left the movie happy with the story told then.
beyond is literally gonna be a continuation of the entire story that is suppose to ultimately be about miles trying to save his father and the multiverse. his arc isn't wrapped up, gwen's is
we are literally in the second act still of this big story.
this movie was two big ass long acts and beyond is gonna finish up that second act and be one big third act.
I wish Mysterio was actually just some magic superhero turned villain because they had some cool fight scenes
they were afraid to do magic then suddenly Ned has magical powers a movie later
best thing about homecoming was the special red/blue theater popcorn promotion
carried that weak ass movie

I mean it technically is but whatever
Agree with you on everything else but just because there’s a second part to this doesn’t mean it takes away from the movie

it does for me personally. i guarantee you this s*** hurt the movie from being my favorite spiderman movie.
there's smaller other things as well but every spidey movie has complaints but man like this felt like i might as well have just waited for beyond to come out and just watch both as one big whole movie experience to feel like the story was complete. there was a lot of things that i felt they would do that felt unnecessary to fill in screen time instead of having a better pace to the movie. idk just bugged the s*** out of me. the movie felt like it was pretty basic in story structure but moved at a slow pace purposefully because the movie was a bit more style then substance compared to the first one.

Lmao that’s true I forgot all about that
Shall we break down every Spidey film in terms plot beats and structure, setups and payoffs, character development and themes? Cause I been itching for a reason and now seems like a great time

Hey some things aren’t for everyone
Agree to disagree. The end to this trilogy gonna be legendary

ITS TIME
90s cartoon spiderman not getting a cameo in games or spider verse is egregious
