Once that crazy puerto rican nigga started chanting I would’ve switch carts so quick 😂
Nah I’m good with all that. I love that type of s***. I’m saying I would’ve been depressed if I just got rid of 17.5
Is it just me or does it not feel like spikes been writing racist white cops the same exact way forever.
Don’t get me wrong actually like it lmao but it feels like he writes every racist white dude with rappaports bamboozled character in mind as the foundation
He didn’t write this at all
I’m looking at my screen just like that cause your frail ass decided to put my whole d*** in your mouth off the wake up 😂😂
D*** breath at 9am already smh do better lil bro at least send me your mother first
Nah what lol
Also the first half is way closer to high and low - and the first 45 minutes of high and low is maybe the single greatest stretch of any movie ever - so its a tough comparison lol
Yeah that first third of high and low is so compelling

:vlosereave: im tryna drop some money off i aint got time for this b/s
before the
the coordinated way young felon got the money made it seem like he was the head of some criminal organization or some oceans 11 type professional thief, only for him to just be some guy in the projects?
Right lol
when nobody can appreciate highest 2 lowest
The colors really popped in this movie. That Puerto Rican parade chase scene is the highlight of the film.
I was entertained but I think what kept bumping me is that Denzel’s character seemed too nonchalant about the whole situation it made it feel like there was no urgency
I was most intrigued about the the moral question of doing the right thing vs what’s right for you when Denzel was debating on paying the ransom or not. Kinda wish that was the main tension of the movie.
Imagine if the beginning plays out how it did with the kidnappers taking the wrong kid but they get away with it. Now Denzel’s character is starting over, his record label hasn’t had a hit in years and he just lost a lot of money (make it way less than 17.5M that’s too unrealistic why would dude keep pursuing a music career). Then, he discovers Yung Felon not knowing this is the guy who held the ransom. After signing Yung Felon, the record label sees a surge, he’s spearheading the company’s comeback in music. Then, around the midpoint Yung Felon releases or previews the song he was working on while the kid was tied in the other room. Denzel’s character finds out Felon is the kidnapper, now he’s gotta choose between doing the right thing vs doing what’s good for him
Then the movie goes from there idk that’s where my mind went while watching
I also kept thinking Jeffrey Wright’s character was in on it. Like he told them to take the kid with the green headband not knowing his son would wear it. Then when his son is the one that’s captured the kidnappers still ask for a ransom for going through the trouble. Now Jeffrey gotta beg the guy he was scheming on for help
this was unfortunately very bad
need to see the original kurosawa to see what spike was going for
I’m taking “starring A$AP Rocky” out of the title after having watched
1h30 in the movie and we see his face on iTunes for the 1st time
The background music being so loud during dialogue is pissing me off

i would've been mad if i was denzel because he was doing some great stuff that would've played way different with no music. it felt a youtube video meme where someone edited soap opera music onto a movie. im sure someone who super connected with the film could explain how that was the point and how it thematically ties into the movie but it was such a crazy choice

Yeah there’s nothing anyone can tell me to make this tolerable, my wife said you were absolutely right about the YouTube edit comparison, ridiculous choice

the film does click into gear at one point and muster up quite a bit of sauce from that point to the end, so stick with it
