Yes, he used the verse from here on that song. The Jan version of South Carolina was similar to the ones played at Atlanta with some alt lines, May was also similar with some alt lines. In June he made the version that just leaked. Then reverted back to the old versions.

Lord I Need You in Early 2020 was called 'Lord I Need You To Wrap Your Arms Around Me' and had a trap beat, Tony Williams Hook but no verses and some Ye vocals using lyrics from Lord Christ. In late 2020, version with Saint JHN and Pusha T ref existed but no Kanye vocals. In 2021, he removed Saint JHN feature and did the hook himself, didn't use Pusha T ref and reused the verse from South Carolina that just leaked.

The instrumental on this version is better than the Donda version of SC.

Comparing this to Lord I need you, the themes of the songs seem to be flipped. This one is less about keeping a relationship together

I don't think he cares much about cussing anymore, even in the Drink Champs Interview it didn't seem like he cares about that. It was censored due to North's wishes. His plans to censor the album was a last minute decision too as Hurricane which released after the 2nd Atlanta Listening Party on streaming services by mistake was explicit.
