I got into automatic writing recently and s*** been blowing my mind lol, it’s actually like having your guardian angel, inner godhead or whatever you wanna call it speak directly to you and answer pressing questions
On one hand, I respect the idea of what you're doing because dabbling in the esoteric/spiritual world led me to Islam which changed my life.
On the other hand, I would want my brothers who do have them ties to our respective lord to not compromise their beliefs for worldly knowledge ya feel? Like, I would almost agree with the fact that Islamic prayer does have a certain spiritual energy that's powerful, though I wouldn't want to dimish it's power by labeling it as "magick" because it's more nuanced than that.
Granted, I'm just a human being trying to not be led astray so I may not have much spiritual power/knowledge to offer with the upmost confidence besides having faith/patience and if you genuinely feel the need to go past the boundaries set by God in your respective holy books (Quran for me ofc, though I'm not holding you to that same standard outside of spitting my personal knowledge of my people's relation to the magic side of things), then be conscious of one's ego and unspoken desires, because they can/will manifest if you're not to careful.
Agree with this for sure
I personally haven’t been raised in a certain religion, so in that regard it’s easy for me to seek those boundaries. But i don’t really practice anything besides meditation and tarot myself, so no need to worry about me
I do read a lot though, including the quran, bible etc not just the occult side of things
The easiest path to get started with this stuff is to start a dream journal, and make a few sigils and see what happens
Dream journal is actually the first thing that’s asked of you in the classic book Modern Magick by Donald Michael Kraig
I feel like sigil work is too early to just start with for someone headig that path but who’s just starting
Deepest I’ve gotten into this is listening to a podcast about SK Bain’s 9/11 book

True. Probably just dream journaling + a meditation practice then
From what I gather just the act of journaling and setting an intention of entering into spiritual practice seems to open up a wormhole and you start noticing crazy wild synchronicities, and what seems like the universe winking at you. It’s when you start winking back that s*** starts to get real lol
At which point you can start reading into whatever esoteric practices you like, and find what you feel most suits you or is super interesting, learn and research as much as you can about it, and eventually start practicing when you feel you’re ready

True, i’d say the biggest pitfall is to cop an unnecessary amount of books instead of just starting to work on yourself and your craft

LMAOOO my problem is copping books and then never reading them

is there more to it than the gematria
I just wanna know who the one true god is
all of the different conceptions of God(s) in all of the religions are simply different manifestations of the Absolute/Source etc. conditioned by one’s culture and societal sensibilities, religions and philosophies are vehicles to spiritual enlightenment, they are not the enlightenment
that’s my take anyways, i could go on at length if you’d like

I got the same idea. I think God is unexplainable to the human mind so we create these religions to make it digestible

yep exactly, i think what people miss oftentimes is that God is beyond all conception, debate, denial etc. God is just a word that we use to conceptualize the divine and come to terms with it and that a lot of language in scripture (such as God becoming angry, jealous etc for an example in the Bible) is metaphorical and symbolic language
God is ultimately ineffable and transcendent above anything anyone can say about it
What is that?
I put some binaural tones going through headphones and meditate for 10-15 minutes, then in a notebook write down a prayer thanking god (doesn’t have to be any actual deity, it could just be toward the universe) for various things like guiding me and protecting my inner light or whatever
then another prayer saying good morning to all the archangels
Then I ask a question, if I’m on the right path, why is this pattern happening, what’s the most important thing I should do today, how do I increase income or better this relationship, whatever. And write the question down, usually 2 or 3 of them
And then for each I just spend about 15 minutes with the tones still playing in the headphones in a weird trance state while writing out whatever words my hand sees fit.
Very quickly when I started doing this stuff I was shocked when I read it all back afterward how pointed and wise all the answers sounded, and always exactly what I need to hear. I learned this technique through a book but I can not remember the title or author smh. It’s such an interesting practice and it’s become the most fun way to meditate for me

I've never heard of this but looked it up and apparently Van Morrison was dabbling in it when he conjured Astral Weeks out of the ether which sort of stands alone as most transcendent music ever recorded
Ive posted this in paranormal section before :
