for any corporate newcomer who reads it ima tell you this -- no matter how many awesome packages and merch and free lunches and gym discounts they offer, these companies are NOT your friends and they do NOT care about you

this cute inclusive welcome culture stuff will be over in a millisecond the moment investors come knocking. do not get your hopes up once you're in, stack coin, cut corners and rip these people off any chance you get

This why I like working for the state

They’re wildly underselling their product which by all accounts should be much more expensive

your wrapped better be 50 mil songs listened and not twelve hours of fatd and wlr

    Just 2023
    80.000 minutes played
    4100 individual tracks
    967 different artists

If I had to pay the 70cents per song or 10-15 dollar for an album I would have paid thousands of dollars (or more likely I would have pirated tbh). Now I pay 120 dollars for a year (even less cus I share a family account).

I would not mind paying double that if it meant fairer compensation for artists, for now I support my favourite artists in different ways buying merch physicals or concert tickets.

Being able to listen to pretty much every piece of music ever put out for $10/month is probably one of the best deals ever

What about soundcloud? U don't even have to pay for it and you have access to an endless amount of amazing music

They are losing money to Sony, UMG and Warner who are the real ones making money since they license everything to Spotify
