Just 2023
80.000 minutes played
4100 individual tracks
967 different artists
If I had to pay the 70cents per song or 10-15 dollar for an album I would have paid thousands of dollars (or more likely I would have pirated tbh). Now I pay 120 dollars for a year (even less cus I share a family account).
I would not mind paying double that if it meant fairer compensation for artists, for now I support my favourite artists in different ways buying merch physicals or concert tickets.
If you paid double artist would get
0.006 cents pr stream
Shouldn't you be keeping your eyes on the lookout for Kenard
Ayt you got me Chris
I feel like you gotta be a little stupid to not turn a profit with the biggest musical streaming platform on earth
Or maybe you're a bit clueless with how lucrative this stuff actually is
Not sure why it’s being insinuated that people should feel bad about using Spotify when the layoffs have absolutely nothing to do with the consumer lol
Another Apple Music W
Apple Music truthers have been taking continuous Ws ever since the service was released in 2015

Bro did you ever use the Beats Music app? That was my first streaming service ever, then I switched to AM after they merged Beats with it

The person that said you “have to make an album every year now” being stupid, what a twist in fate 😵
because Spotify wrapped is stupid and ill make fun of it whenever I can even if thats beside the point
I respect it

Why is it stupid? Just curious
Word to the Spotify stocks I bought couple years ago. Been on a free fall 😒😭
Do not invest in streaming services that s*** is so unsustainable and not at all “the future”. I really don’t think this s*** is gonna last. If it does it will always be hanging by thread. I promise you physical media will always be better than this trash. It’s a gimmick. It shouldn’t be taken seriously.
It's wild the hate people have for Spotify when is it not the only music streaming service with a free tier
Yes the free tier is limited and ad filled but if you a brokie or a kid it's still clutch
Apple Music truthers have been taking continuous Ws ever since the service was released in 2015
we just got to figure a way to make it seem cool to girls not to have Spotify
we just got to figure a way to make it seem cool to girls not to have Spotify
Nahhh fr
I got no allegiance to streamers but Spotify is definitely my fave to use imo
And there no way Apple Music makes money rn so if you really want Spotify to fail all that's gonna mean is they will Raised prices to extortionate level once main competition gone.
30 a month to listen to unlimited amount of music of entire human history
that sounds expensive to you? in current economy?
In this current economy yes, that’s very expensive.
Yall niggas dont realize how bad s*** is out here lmao
Microsoft will probably end up buying them.
Business 101: layoffs are good for a business. Doesn't mean they're going out of business
Spotify is already profitable but you can thank AI in part for the layoffs
