Around 200M monthly users when Scorpion originally dropped.

Should be around 370M when CLB drops.
variety.com/2021/digital/news/drake-first-50-billion-spotify-streams-1234888041
132M streams in the first 24 hours on Spotify.
It'll be interesting to see the demographic of the near 200M new Spotify users and see if they are all equally as interested in Drake's music as the previous 200M.
Regardless he will probably shatter his own records with a proper rollout, just a matter of by how much, also wondering if he can post a milli sales first week.
when it comes to numbers discussions some people have been saying Apple Music is Drake's biggest platform but I think this new ones gonna prove strongly otherwise
He def NOT doing a milli with this next album
Obviously not with pure sales being down / dead. 500-600k

You should be more interested in the album's performance beyond the first week.

Apple Music is by far his strongest platform. That'll always remain true for Drake and most rappers. Most of DLDT's streams came from Apple Music.

A greater percentage of AM listeners listen to Drake but more people in general on Spotify listen to Drake, when Scorpion dropped Drake had more monthly listeners on Spotify than Apple had subscribers at all
DLDT was a compilation album which you would expect would be listened to more by hardcore Drake fans which AM seems to have more of, but this album will be a big album and first week I think we'll see a similar result, long term could be different of course
w/ Scorpion, I think the most important chunk of the sales came down to digital downloads. He was initially projected to do 250K fw which would have given him 800+ SPS IIRC but ended up doing 132K so Scorpion ended up selling 732K. For CLB I think it will be the same. It'll come down to downloads.
Also the daily charts don't look that much different at least in the US when it comes to plays.

Scorpion gained more first day streams on AM than on spotify

It did like 100mil more streams over the week than AM IIRC

Scorpion did 160K in digital sales.

It didn't. This website did research and broke down Scorpion's numbers both in the US and globally, in it's first week.
Scorpion pulled 573 million streams on Spotify globally and 486 million streams on Apple Music globally, respectively. Scorpion also pulled 321 million streams on Spotify in the US and 401 million streams on Apple Music in the US. These are all first-week numbers.

yes so Spotify did nearly a hundred million more streams in the first week
yes so Spotify did nearly a hundred million more streams in the first week
GLOBALLY and only because of how huge they are Globally. They remain the biggest audio streaming service Globally but they've already been overtaken in the US by Apple Music. The numbers anyone cares about are US numbers. That's what Billboard reports and Scorpion performed better on Apple Music than it did on Spotify in it's first week in the US.
this growth is worldwide, Spotify hasn't really grown in the US afaik. Wont really affect fw numbers. It's why you haven't seen any albums touch those huge debut stream days yet

That's what I'm trying to explain lol. In the US, Drake is a lot bigger on Apple Music than Spotify and it's the same for most rappers. More US-based rap/r&b fans use Apple Music than Spotify. It's why you can see a rapper have their album completely flop on Spotify yet they'll still manage to pull 150 million streams in the US in the first week. That's because most of their streams are from Apple Music, which rappers dominate.

yea it's actually weird. loads of rappers/R&B artists do 3-5x more streams on AM than Spotify. I don't get why as I don't think AM advertise to rap fans more than pop fans from what I've seen.
got rappers like moneybagg yo with 1 song in us top 200 on spotify whilst he's outselling j cole, justin bieber, tyler, migos, ariana grande, dj khaled. it's weird

The short answer to the question: "Will the new users be equaly interested in Drake" is no.
Even thought users increased 85%, his numbers won't see that increase. Here is why:
(i did a research of Spotify growth in different countries based on the top 200 songs published on spotifycharts every day)
Comparisson of Scorpion release & early 2021.
New country that has good numbers: India
New country that has decent numbers: Russia
Countries that have grown a lot: Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Tourkey, Peru, Colombia.
Countries that had growth: Germany, Italy, France, Philippines, Poland, Austria.
Countries that are on the same level: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Switzerland, New Zealand, Finland, Ireland.
So tl;dr: Spotify increased a lot in Latin American countries & in Asian countries (Drake doesn't do well there), he does well in Tourkey (IMF has reached #1, while GP #4 & Passionfruit #7)
From the tier bellow he does good in most of the countires. But his biggest countries have stayed the same (some have had small growth).
So Spotify increased so much because it grew in Latin AM & expanded in Eastern Europe/ Asian countries. It will continue to grow rapidly, but Drake's biggest market is NA + Western Europe.
