Noticed this too! When trying to socialize for projects or whatever, these people have terrible social skills.

Mesaihcovid definitely affected people's social skills i will say that
I think it's that generation constantly being on their phones/the internet as kids. Most people born circa 2003 just don't know how to be social. Obviously we had one or two of those shy kids in class who never spoke, but it's way more prevalent now
Lockdowns definitely exacerbated it though
