So although yes we all have our fave characters once you realize there is only one winner and only one person will live its like the only more interesting option is seeing your faves go up against each other in the end. I am shocked they haven't started a Squid Game video game . Would be cool to start day 1 and it be like it resets every month with specific times and regions its locked to and you only get one life. Essentially a dark Mario Party

They definitely would have benefitted from showing all characters backgrounds a little bit so we root for them all or they all feel developed. They did succeed at making us care about faces we had never seen before and will never see again
