VoxI've always found a lot of good discussion in music for all the time I've been here but I think it's really easy to get caught up in some of the stuff you're talking about and paint the whole section that way
It's just because the "controversy" threads on this site do numbers, people post in them to crack jokes. Instant gratification. I have a retired friend from KTT named @Lawdie who explained this very well.
Something like 'constant stimulation = a fast world and needing to keep up with what's trending', which is why KTT2 has huge discussions for "__ does ___ and __!" instead of "___ New Album!" threads.

Jay Z having companies buying albums in bulk and similar s*** inspired kpop companies to do the same and it's all snowballed to this.
