Last season of GoT was disappointing but hate is overblown. D&D were also in a really s***ty position that people are downplaying. Adapting books for film/tv is hard enough, and they first took the job prolly with the assumption that Martin would finish the series when/if the show got that far.

And guess who didn’t deliver. Now they were left with not only adapting the Quran for nerds but filling in its last act too. Doesn’t discredit all the faults of the latter seasons but those guys had to not only write new seasons of material almost annually but manage a tv production around it? Compared to Martin on his typewriter who’s only put out fugazi tie in books in the last 8-9 years? Even the original writer can’t come up with an ending! Imagine how s***ty the last LOTR movie would’ve been if Jackson had to write the movie himself without any source.

D&D are smart to drop out of Star Wars. New movies are decent but lucasfilm/Disney would have them on a really tight leash with annoying fans ramping up stress rather than Netflix giving them the keys to the castle and being hands off.

03 Clone Wars easily the best Star Wars series to date. Jedi - Force Sensitives, actually were portrayed in a powerful light. Lightsaber duels were fast paced and showcased different styles used. Clone Troopers were dope af. Just all around great series
