I just came out...... wow...

Everything that had to do with a major plot point or the force was absolute trash.....

That said it was enjoyable? Like I enjoyed it but god damnit some plot points were so f***ing stupid during some serious scenes my audience laughed and bickered from how stupid it was.

Overall 5.5-6/10 based on the fact that it is a “fun” watch as it’s visually cool and entertaining... just the plot is so bad

They literally went in with no plan for the 3 movies and winged it as they released

just to give us the exact same ending as ROTJ

Watching this felt as what it probably felt for JJ and Terrio to write it: a jarring overstuffed chore

Especially the first act, it was beyond atrocious and unwatchable, I never really like pick on technical s*** but this was the first time I felt the pacing felt like I was on a plane there was a turbulence and people were vomiting all over the place

Or like a music video that you put on 2x playback speed

Second act picks up better and gives room to breath to more down to earth, grounded stakes in minimalist set pieces that you can hold on to, some western s***

But then they kicked gallons of milk and spilled all over it

Audiences reactions was amazing to some of the reveals, lot of laughter

The CGI

C3p0 stole the show in terms of the humor

Music was tight tho, also had no idea there were John Williams and Anthony Daniels cameos

The Rise Of Skywalker overall works for me. I really enjoyed it. I have some small issues concerning certain things that happen in it but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of it. A solid conclusion to the Skywalker Saga.
