I see both these pairs as sister albums cause they each came out pretty close to one another.

Starboy was much more sonically interesting than BBTM and less radio-bait. Same with Damn FM. It built on the soundscapes of AH but took away the boring radio songs. Better narrative too.

I'd say outside of Trilogy and Kiss Land AH was the only album that tried to be as interesting. The songs, music videos, performances all felt like it was building a world like those first 2 albums. It wasn't as good but you're giving more credit to his weaker albums
