Do u have issue with the notion that

A: by the end of the Civil Rights movement in the 60s (I'd say marked by the killings of many of the prominent leaders), the focus was set by King and others more toward economic rights,

and

B. Often the true power (as far as functioning in this world, not power on the inside) is money, the government advocates for and espouses this inaccurate (because it's set up for the wealth only to be held by a very few) notion of capitalism and "hard work/making your own way," while gentrifying communities, perpetrating the oppressive structures that have been racist, sexist, imperialist, and destructive.

We may have gone off course from the Black Panthers/Black Power topic but i guess many of us see power for a great number of people in a better balance of wealth distribution and this would lead to better healthcare and education which I believe knowledge is absolutely a very valuable power
