Imagine buying something as outdated and useless as a f***ing wrist watch in the year of our lord 2020.

Some clunky big face watch looks goofy as s***. Looking like some Fisher-Price childish s***.

Who said it has to be big? Subtle watches goat

5$ watches show the time just the same

This a lie used by people who don’t know what they’re talking about. I know in general it might be close, but if you actually compare them is doesn’t work out

The best part about watches, and jewelry in general, is that it will look just as good as the day you bought it no matter how old it is

Try to take a “$5 timex” (not even a real thing) into any body of water. Try doing manual labor in it. Try climbing, diving, or any other adventure sport and see which one lasts. This is like comparing a Corolla to gt3 Porsche. Yeah, they do the “same thing”, but some of us want more than the bare minimum

Jfc. It doesn’t to it to the extent a Rolex can. I’m sure you’re Just gonna reply with “insert cheap watch can do that”, and you might actual believe that. It’s still not true and there is a reason for the different pricing. If you said “a $500 seiko can do that” or even “a 1k oris diver can do that“ I would have agreed. But there’s actual levels to this that you don’t understand right now

the pricing is for the movement and the materials
but a quartz is more precise than any caliber and resin is more price efficient than any metal
any watch that costs over 1k retail is just for status
but keep thinking rolex are superior dweeb

So you agree that the movement and materials are superior? Those are two of the most important factors to anybody looking for a solid watch. Also, quartz watches obviously have to be fixed ever so often. You can put an automatic Rolex on and it’s never going to stop.

lmao what? how is an automatic movement superior? you talk like you know so much when all your knowledge comes off watchanish
quartz are more precise and durable, in fact the only down side is that you need to change the batteries every 3 years but believe me it takes less time to switch a baterry than setting the time on an automatic movement for two days straight
and yes an automatic rolex would never stop if you never took it off and didnt sleep but guess what you do take it off
and yes metal is a better material but at what cost? and if you get a gold or two tone forget about it being more durable because you’ll dent that gold like its nothing

I don’t fw gold. Stainless steel is my thing. Show me an automatic watch that stops bc somebody went to sleep lol. I haven’t taken my seiko off in a year straight and it hasn’t quit running. and obv metal is better and it costs. That’s my whole point. You’re acting like an explorer 2 and a timex are even in the same league. You can do so much more with the e2 than whatever cheap watch you want throw out. And I’m saying all of this bc of experience. I had a timex before I actually got into watches. It was nice for the look of a watch but it was so s***ty. Hands got stuck ab once a month, glow cut out pretty quickly, and the battery lasted maybe 6 months. I don’t wanna deal with that s***. I wanna put my stainless steel rolex on and never worry ab it again

    Edit: also wtf is watchanish
Edit2: holy s*** don’t put me in the same category as that guy. F*** him. All he does is shoe Jacob and Co. and Richard Mille corny ass watches

  • Jan 5, 2020

Bruh you can cop a slight $110 dollar watch and keep it moving as a professional lmal
