You gotta be f***in stupid to not get why ppl love watches.
A good mechanical watch is like a beautiful work of art and engineering sitting on your wrist
That s*** look like it’s from CVS
Seems like you know nothing about watches whatsoever LOL
What makes you say Rolex is overpriced? Literally EVERYTHING is done in house. Tools for the watches, lubricants, workbenches, etc. the amount they put into their pieces makes it pretty justifiable imo. They also have the stainless steel sport watch marker cornered bc of the brand they built so I respect it but idk might just be me. They’re also incredible watches
Rolex stil aint using display backs in 2020 why do you think that is

educate instead of belittling.
most dealers got them in stock breh
nah, maybe the ones with "precious metals"
steel submariners/daytonas (p much any steel sport rolex honestly) are only sold to good customers and has a waiting list. a steel submariner is about 9500 euro list price at a dealer, but if you go on chrono24, everyone sells their brand new ones for at least a 5000 euro markup because of high demand and low supply. rolex are inflating the prices and increasing demand by limiting supply of steel sports watches

Partially because they never have before. Also makes the watches much thicker. On divers, the glass has to be able to withstand the same amount of pressure as steel, so they would have to increase the size. Also, Rolex movements are known to not be anything too crazy. It’s not supposed to be. Rolex makes tool watches, not art pieces
Yeah, there's even a waiting list if you wanna buy a submariner
theres no waiting list they only sell it to specific people

Is that the stuff that turns your wrist green?
Is that the stuff that turns your wrist green?
Lol nah, quartz just means it's battery powered. Id rather pay a lil extra and get an automatic movement.
theres no waiting list they only sell it to specific people
officially there is a waiting list but in practice it means nothing because they prioritize returning customers who buy other watches too.
you could haggle rolex prices before but now that's dead too, except for gold and platinum ones. authorized rolex dealers have lost contracts for backdooring steel rolexes too lmao

How much does it typically cost to service a rolex with a broken winder?

I dunno, but it's prolly expensive as hell
I really want a bulova accutron space view
and of course if I hit the lotto I got around a dozen on my hit list
Im sure I could save up for a tudor, omega, grand seiko etc but right now I just have a few homage watches, seiko, timex

do you mean the crown on the side of the watch? if so probably like 100 dollars or something i assume. problem is that you can't really send it to service at rolex just to replace that part. you'd have to go to some other watch repair shop
they're gonna service it and replace everything old/worn and run your bill up to like $1000+ plus easily
Who gives a f*** about a watch i can just look at my phone
How do u have almost 400 threads?

Tbh idk, i think the issue with mine is cause it wasnt maintained well by the previous owner so the actual winding mechanism inside the watch is broken, the crown moves fine. I thought rolex does do repairs if you send it into them? Or i guess i was mistaken
