For all intents and purposes yes, if it happened en masse than I'd say you got a riot on your hands.

This happened all over the city.

    20 officers were seriously injured.

  • Apr 7, 2021

I remember being in the Fee Must Fall protests and the police were firing rubber bullets, stun grenades and teargas, interesting saga that.

Police in England sound underwhelming didn't they use crowd dispersion tactics? rubber bullets here and there teargas is very effective too.

OP is white and knows many people who use their phones to f*** over black protesters

Yet he won't specify who he talking to so he just sounds like somebody you need to ignore

Eye witnesses you dumb f***. Stop snitching. STOP SNITCHING.

It is not worth the risk. Riots worked before dumb f***s started snitching and will work after. Stop.

The optics of riots are not good. If you are fighting the police, the public will justify the police fighting back. Filming it is not going to work.

These vids on social media are used by police. Man up.

    Always film a peaceful protest.

If your argument is that it will be covered up then the same applies if there is footage. If they don't care about eye witnesses then they won't care about some s***ty phone footage.

I have seen police officers get away with murder after it is filmed lmao

The thing when you are fighting the police, it is never good optics to film it. The public will see violence as justified anyway. Fighting the police is never good optics to the general public. They will justify extreme force to stop it.

Peaceful protest should always be filmed.

If I am beating a police officer on the ground and another police officer uses extreme force to stop me from doing it, do you think the public will be on my side? @BadKarma

Even if he killed me, I don't think any f***s would be given. What is the use in filming that?

Cameras at riots benefit the state more than the revolutionaries.

There are some positives, but they do not outweigh the negatives. You have to treat somebody with a camera as a snitch.

Your argument that the police will just ignore eye witnesses is flawed because if you believe that then they will also ignore footage if that is the case. And they probably will ignore both. No doubt. Why? Because they give no f***s. Why help them by filming riots?

"ALWAYS TAKE A PHONE AND CAMERA TO A PEACEFUL PROTEST"

Omg, don't actually do this. If you have to take a camera, take a dumb camera or an old phone without a SIM card. Use a burner phone with no data associated with you if you need a phone for emergency.

Feds have IMSI catchers every-fucking-where and even deploy planes and helicopters with them installed over peaceful protests. They will be able to read ALL of the subscriber data associated with your SIM card and can use that to subpoena your messages, contacts, device location history, etc. or just straight up deploy malware on your phone to jack your s***.

Be safe KTT. I don't want to see any of you behind bars or go thru the system on some bullshit. Even if the protest is peaceful and 100% lawful, they can and will use anything they can to suppress you.

You're right. I appreciate you are this careful. Peaceful protests are usually safe, but things change. You are right in being this care and I appreciate that.

What are your thoughts on the topic of cameras at riots? You think the positives outweigh the risks?

    ❤❤❤

Cameras can be fine, it's just that nowadays camera is nearly synonymous with phone. It's the SIM card that ends up f***ing you, because it constantly needs to be pinging towers with your data to work right. Cops are taking advantage of this and intercepting those pings with their own decoy cell towers. Right off the bat they get your name, number, smartphone ID and an array of other subscriber information when they intercept it.

If I was in attendance, I would use one of those older school digital cameras -- enough modernity to get the photo in a digital format and USB transfer, but not connecting to the internet or storing user information; wiping the EXIF data on an image you plan to upload is also a smart move. A prepaid dumbphone specifically for protests would be employed for emergency.

It sounds like tinfoil hat-levels of paranoia, but the blue suits really are collecting and parsing this information and have arrested & charged people based on that evidence. Even at peaceful protests they're scraping that data -- only takes a few rogues in the government to begin weaponizing that info.
