Recently there has been a push to use the term "BIPOC" instead of "POC" now.
BIPOC = Black, Indigenous, and people of color.
It is meant to recognize the uniqueness that black and indigenous people have to white supremacy in relational to all people of color.
I brought this up recently in another thread when there was outage at the rumor of Mahershala Ali playing Joel in TLOU2, but damn near all that outrage went away when Pedro Pascal was eventually confirmed to play Joel. Everybody that was complaining at first went silent. I wonder why...
its literally just poc tryna insert themselves in black oppression cuz they "experience racism"
sorry ling ling but white guys fetishizing you is hardly comparable
this didn't age well at all

How does being called “poc” instead of “black” affect anyone lol you’re sounding like transgender people who get offended over someone using the wrong pronouns
there’s real s*** going on in the world that you should care about instead of being labeled as an incorrect word

I’m beginning to wake up to it. Alotta people weren’t POC when there were “colored” water fountains.
It’s used by other nations to boost their mobility and wealth. Having them piggy back off of our works has got to stop
Poc is a good umbrella term to use within context of a situation referring to minorities as a whole. But when referring to something exclusive to black peoples yeah I hate the term
