v12even with all the issues dave sometimes has with his music he at least can make those serious songs way more compelling like both sides of a smile doesn’t feel like 8 minutes but the intro to stormzy album feels like 8 years.
dave also pads out his albums with a few party anthems which links well with the theme of the album. i admire stormzy for doing an album with a consistent theme and sound in this kind of direction but it doesn’t help if the music isn’t that compslling
