    What's this beef even over?

Wiley being bipolar and thought Wiley Flow was a diss to him
Dot rotten attention seeking and asking everyone to fight him, no one responds so wiley does it for the scene
Wiley fires at stormzy in between and now dot and wiley are both beefing him and each other

  • patat

Wiley literally said a few days ago asking everyone to leave drake alone.. what

I think he still has issue with Drake, I think the guy he was alluding too that didn’t get the look was Wiley in that interview

Like i said i doubt it. I hope he proves me wrong though.
And yeah wiley is a better rapper, but hes just chatting s*** man. He'll always come hard with the flows, but if he keeps up this nonsense he's defo tarnishing himself

Yeah he’s been outspoken recently but I kinda like when artists are like that, shows they don’t really care about whatever image most artists try to maintain to please the public audience.

I don’t think that should take away from all the material he’s released and what he’s done for Grime.

On a side note - love the coverage this beef is getting

  • Jan 8, 2020

    so disappointed the best

    wiley's ending him though

It's not outspoken, what wiley has been doing is pure stupidity. Rambles on about drake, then says he has no problem with him. Keeps on hating on ed sheeran, then said im cool with him.
Dot made 32 disses for him and his mum in the last week with some of the most disrespectful bars and he decides to crown him the king of grime

Look at his whole thing with dizzee fam. Always goes from 'i understand why hes mad at me' to 'he's mad at me for nothing' then 'i understand, if i was him I'd be mad too' and then 'skepta betrayed me by hopping on a tune with dizzee'. He also has a clear alcohol and substance abuse problem.
Its just that recently its escalated. You don't see people going around disrespecting kano. Or titch, or dizzee. It is affecting his legacy. He's done a lot for grime, but hes gotten away with so much bs simply because hes the 'godfather'
G1 was great and im excited for g3 but rah hes just attention seeking with this, and for what lol

    VOTE FOR KANYE

is this the equivalent of Drake vs Pusha T

Nah, if anything it would be more like Wayne vs Drake.

Stormzy and Wiley are both two of our top 5 biggest artists OAT. Both have had multiple number ones or top 5 hits, both have played Glasto main stages etc.

Wiley often goes crazy on people, a bit like Ye does in the US scene, but usually the younger generation of big artists don't go this hard at him because as a producer he literally helped create our sound - even down to individual synth sounds and brought more artists than probably anybody else in the UK to the UK mainstream.

Two of Stormzy's biggest singles - Wiley Flow and Know Me From are essentially Wiley homages. Know Me From is a new song over a Wiley instrumental and Wiley Flow is using some of Wiley's classic flows.

Wiley is probably seen as the best war MC out of the household name grime MCs, whereas nobody sees Stormzy like that. For these type of tracks Stormzy is probably outdoing expectations, whereas Wiley is more operating at 50% capacity compared to what people have seen from him in the past.

Wiley hasn't said s*** fam. He's tarnishing his legacy. This whole 'godfather' thing is self proclaimed too. Yes he played a huge role but its not like a one man renaissance.
His bipolar attitude is stupid, his next diss will be hard for sure in terms of flow but i doubt he'll say much other than more bars about his mum

Other people were calling Wiley godfather before he was, but it wasn't as many do now after he took it on so much. At first I'm pretty sure he thought it was an insult.

Don't you think Wiley can still come through with a better track? He's released some of his best music over the last few years as well as more mediocre stuff, but it's not like he can't still rap at his peak.

Nothing Stormzy has ever done has even come close to most Wiley music. And it's hard to tarnish a legacy as integral to the scene as Wiley's, even if people will take the piss out of him over this.

  • stormzy's music is horrible but he's won the beef so far

  • Jan 8, 2020

my favorite part about stormzy's video is him just having a blunt and coffee in hand at the beginning like he had just woken up hearing wiley's track and was just like chillin while writing his calm

Drake and Wayne were on the same team. They appeared on multiples songs / albums together. That's family.

Also Wiley Flow and Know Me From are not Stormzy's biggest tracks.

For sure. I know this isn't wileys best, i just dont know what he could have on stormz since he's been very careful with his image tbf, other than the whole thing with his girl.
I think hes burning many, many bridges with his attitude and causing a lot of people, in the scene and just listeners, to have less respect for him honestly.

Shows artists aren’t perfect, like Morrissey or others who speak their mind.

I still don’t see that taking away from his accomplishments. When he’s gone, he’ll always be known as The Godfather of Grime.

People just don’t like how he’s acting right now which is fair but it doesn’t really bother me much.

    Can’t wait for G3.

Vossi Bop, Blinded By Your Grace, Shut Up and Big For Your Boots are the biggest songs.

But they are two of his biggest singles. Know Me From was what gave him some of his earliest looks like Jools Holland.

Yeah of course, their careers aren't linked in the same way I just mean Wiley is essentially a top 2 artist (in success) of the first generation of Grime, and he is beefing with Stormzy a top 2 artist of this generation

Lets not forget he went pop along with everyone else and came back when grime had a resurgence its just really silly

Do you think he needs anything? Tbh he could just make s*** up if it's a good enough track.

A lot of the classic tracks have complete bullshit about other MCs on them.

I think Wiley still has the ability to come through with something a lot better than both Stormzy songs. It looks sad to watch Wiley get the cheap visuals while Kaylum makes Stormzy responses on the fly. Stormzy definitely got the upperhand

There's some good stuff about this moment tho. It's hilarious that the tracks are being played on BBC Radio 1 daytime, you never used to hear grime let alone war dubs on daytime radio. Also, the fact that 'i'm so bbc breakfast' is being used in the biggest grime beef of the year shows how far the scenes come

He always kept doing grime when he went pop tho. He'd still do radio sets or clashes or grime tracks at the same time as his biggest hits.

Stormzy does a great job of lifting up the scene but you can tell his career is definitely focused on other things. Wiley always kept grime at the forefront of his career from what I can remember. He never went all the way for years like Dizzee.
