Just watched the finale

Visuals were absolutely beautiful

Eleven wasn’t speaking in the beginning so me and my bro were tripping wondering how they went 5 seasons without 11 speaking…wondering how Millie got so famous without ever speaking lmaooo

I enjoyed it a lot except for the last hour farewells cause I obviously didn’t have that connection with anyone

Still didn’t know most the characters names by the end

Saw ppl complaining that no one died but they killed 11 and her sister so I thought y’all were tripping lol but then they had to ruin it by insinuating that 11 is still alive

More I think on it the more the finale feels disappointing. They couldn’t have went out in any safer of a fashion

It was such a boring and generic atmosphere that they could have made it super interesting considering it was an alternate alien universe beyond science

Lol they even hinted at it once they got there and said "I thought there would be more snakes". The upside down looked more alien than that planet

Whole time I was watching this it felt like a marvel movie with the larger than life enemy, horrific and overused CGI, and laughable dialogue. S5 felt nothing like the previous 4 seasons. No magic to me, just hollow.

I feel like they tried to check every box and appeal to every single deranged fan wish/theory they saw on twitter

Though I will say, I think the last 30-45 min or so was pretty strong.

End of the day it’s still some of the biggest slop I’ve ever consumed

Yeah this is the only part of the season that actually made me feel something

S4 Kate Bush montage was the better ending as far as build up and stakes go. If they added a few more details they really could of ended the show there tbh
