Suf doesn’t get credit for his influence regarding The Age of Adz. That project wasn’t received too well but he was working with sounds and ideas that Kanye & Bon Iver hopped on years later with Yeezus & 22, a Million.
Dude is much more than a genius songwriter
One of my favorite albums ever and easily my favorite of his, nothing like it
Can't wait for whatever is dropping today, would have missed it without this thread
huge suf fan but not really excited for this lmao. I'll give it a listen but my expectations are low

hoping for some songs with his vocals on it at least
Is this the album he worked on with his pops?
IN but waiting on that C&L follow up

Impossible Soul to me is one of the most impressive songs ever assembled. Not only because it's 25 minutes long but because it needs to be 25 minutes long. It's like watching a 3 hour movie that's edited perfectly which feels like 1 hr 30m.
Story telling, structure, emotion are all peak music. The way he literally describes the 5 stages of grief following a relationship is beautiful.
I honestly think if someone like Frank, Kanye or Kendrick made this we wouldn't hear the end of it from fans and critics but the way Suf is, this was well received and practically forgotten amongst critics year and decade end lists.

mostly instrumental works with some vocals here and there
hoping for a proper solo album tho but idk probably not a possibility in 2020 but who knows..
