Impossible Soul to me is one of the most impressive songs ever assembled. Not only because it's 25 minutes long but because it needs to be 25 minutes long. It's like watching a 3 hour movie that's edited perfectly which feels like 1 hr 30m.
Story telling, structure, emotion are all peak music. The way he literally describes the 5 stages of grief following a relationship is beautiful.
I honestly think if someone like Frank, Kanye or Kendrick made this we wouldn't hear the end of it from fans and critics but the way Suf is, this was well received and practically forgotten amongst critics year and decade end lists.
Impossible soul is amazing
A perfect song
Edit: listening to it for the first time on my 650s
March is unstoppable, gotta love this
apparently this is terrible?
apparently this is terrible?
its just mostly instrumentals
nothing terrible about it

ok
No they must be kidding
The Weeknd dropping the AOTY
then Bino saying let me get a piece
and now Sufjan?
Like... Three GOATs in three days?
TOO MUCH
Are there any more vocals on this? loved those on the runaround, but a pure instrumental album isn't that interesting to me
@deepsleep what's the word thus far? Planning on listening tomorrow, hoping this is good which I'm sure it is

haven't heard the full thing yet but its mostly instrumenals with few vocals here and there
so i think its more for background music i guess
will listen to the full thing later today
I thought this was that dude from System of a Down?
This is actually hilarious to me because I recommended Sufjan to someone and they asked the same question
Could you be her? Hmm
