i do believe in objective morals though. like obviously it is wrong to kill or rape someone and i think it's evil to do those things. so yeah, i do think evil exists in the world, just in the form of human beings, not demons or the devil or such things. but yeah i don't think we will get to an agreement on this lol

can’t be any objective morals without divine decree, you could very well easily believe rape and murder to be just completely dependent on the culture and society that you’re raised in

the Greeks used to rape little boys as a coming of age rite, they also believed it to be one of the manliest things a dude could do, if they were still around and we told them they were disgusting for that, they’d look at you like you’re crazy

i think you can be ethical and moral without a divine law, but it just has to be acknowledged that it’s solely based on human whim rather than anything truly immutable or foundational
