FANCY DANCE - didn’t like this one at all and I thought I would. Some parts didn’t make any sense story wise or character wise. And the first act should have been cut down.

This film should of followed a similar structure as “peanut butter falcon” while remaining within its dramatic subject matter

Joyland is meant to be great (Pakistan’s first ever film to shortlisted for an Oscar)

But also its technically a 2022 release so it might end up online soon anyway

STARLING GIRL - Fire. I loved it. Top 2 so far just slightly under Magazine dreams.

A LITTLE PRAYER - not bad but feel like they wasted a good premise on just the last 20 minutes of the film.

So f***ing hyped for this one, hoping I can get a ticket for that and Sometimes I Think About Dying when they restock in around 45 mins. I want Fair Play too but I’m assuming that’ll end up being one of the award screenings

Don’t let my first watch hype give any false expectations lol. Usually a get a more realistic viewing on my 2nd watch. But both were definitely my type of film.

lmaooo I feel you on that fam it's the same way for me, you put me onto a ton of movies tho just by lurking this sxn like for example On the Count of Three (which ended up being my favorite movie last year and it really hasn't been topped since imo) so I'm down to check out what you recommend for real.

Yeah, this drop makes no sense this year. Tickets were still available for minutes upon minutes afterwards the past few years they did these additional drops. They must have Ticketmaster running their s*** this go around or something

Getting the feeling they're trying to cripple the online portion so people have little to no choice, but to attend the actual festival since they just started back up in-person this year
