MTBMB is more interesting than most newer rap projects to me, especially Side B, simply because it feels like a breath of fresh air. I know if you look for it plenty of guys are on that lyrical s***, but mainstream wise I really miss lyrical rap and artists just sounding different.
Obvs I'm speaking in broad terms, but in the streaming/playlist age, so much s*** is just samey cuz it wants to be on a playlist, love hearing modern style beats under lyrical rap, it's a combo you don't hear a lot. Even on MTBMB the beats aren't super modern sounding, but they're close.
Em doing a lot to bring something interesting and somewhat new in an era where most artists just want to blend in, and I respect it.
