TL;DR Switch 2 getting an enhanced edition of Ultimate called Ultimate DX, which features 6 new fighters and new modes such as Smash Run and online Squad Strike. It will be a free upgrade for Ultimate owners, but to get the new fighters you’ll have to buy Fighters Pass Vol. 3. Ultimate DX is also coming to Xbox afterwards, especially because of Master Chief’s inclusion.
Smash 6 will be withheld for Switch 3. A Smash x Disney spinoff will be a Switch 2 exclusive.
