Melee is way more technical than Ultimate and actually has better single player content than Ultimate

I don’t know how to play against a good Inkling but Inkling isn’t jank. Don’t assume I call any character jank that I don’t know how to fight against.

Wobbling is banned at all majors these days

Ultimate is fun to watch but I’m starting to not have fun when playing. That’s all. I really need majors to come back. I need quarantine over.

Of we use the logic of “these characters don’t come home with the win” then Ultimate has only a few characters viable.

That argument is terrible because s lot of times in both Melee and Ultimate it’s the player and not the character.

Most Melee tierlists havePeach as B tier, Armada was just THAT good. Jigglypuff is often considered B tier as well (Unless you ask Leffen)

The Yoshi main getting top 16, top 8 still means Yoshi is viable, just means he couldn’t get past a goat like Armada or Hungrybox who ate just virtually unatopable ay the game when playing well.

Hungrybox was playing awful the entirety of Genesis 7 missing rests and other combos but his bad playing still got him 2nd place. It’s because he’s unstoppable not Jigglypuff being unstoppable.

All 11 characters I mentioned can get top 8s at majors. That’s 11 viable characters in Melee which makes it relatively balanced compared to other Smash games (aside from Ultimate)

I do find myself “missinputing” way more in this game than Smash 4 but I think a large part of that is the way Ultimate is programmed.

Sometimes it’s about having fun. Like how I main Ness in every smash game but he’s only viable in Ultimate.

People were only running 4-5 characters in Melee because the meta didn’t have a chance to develop when its all locals and tight niche groups. People wanted to follow and mimic the few dudes winning. It’s much much easier for a meta to progress in online games for obv reasons

And using ‘unintended’ gameplay mechanics as a way to denounce a game’s competitive viability is absolutely nonsense lol the two first Halos were amazingly competitively balanced almost solely because of accidental mechanics. Plenty of games have communities that exploit them for gain.

It doesn’t take away from the game unless it’s truly game breaking with 0 skill to perform, like how in the recent Valorant beta people could put guns into the cameras from Cypher and shoot through them.

“Security” but I don’t do nothing but sit at the front desk and sign people in if they’re visiting the condo and do rounds every few hours. Majority of the owners are elderly so people haven’t been coming to visit so it’s sweet. I basically get paid to browse ktt and play on the switch all day.
