lol I don’t think you lying I just wasn’t focused on comparison this movie . This movie issues I have are partly it’s derivative but it’s also a terrible ad for the comic

Heard it's mid, but it's mostly from Snyder fanboys so I'm assuming I gotta take everything from them with a grain of salt since they usually praise trash.

Gunn didn’t add the needle drops into this movie though as he didn’t direct it lol

On topic I wish this movie was more fleshed out . It riches goon the depravity of humanity trafficking of child brides, grief , revenge . Alcoholism . Family . But to me it didn’t execute anything . Flashbacks were some of stronger moments . Kara joking or making responses to everything style didn’t hugely work for me personally

Villain no real motivation besides be evil no character to him lots of grunting . To the point that when he is killed you don’t really care to ever see him again

Part of me wants to read the comic to see the changes . Lack of color at times unforgivable . Comparing this to mad max is a bit of an insult to what mad max was to me .

I also don’t like things like we are going to kill you later so you have time to escape and you’re as strong as prison guard type moments . While a low point don’t think dcu is in danger . Paramount deal fully going through would be worse news than this .

A movie to see matinee , Tuesday , a list or streaming .

Maybe Snyder is the blueprint (getting a rotten tomato score for your 2nd movie in the DC universe)

Villain thing is an issue in the comic too. Personally like that he doesn’t have a side to try and make us sympathize with him. Bring back pure evil villains.

You can be a pure villain and better writing than that . At least have his own plot going on . It’s simply a poorly written character

While certain aspects of the movie had a GOTG flavor, still think that's being exaggerated. Movie is a lot darker than the GOTG (1 & 2 at least). Tone was very different than GOTG or even Superman

Batman v Superman 28% egregious even for theatrical it wasn’t terrible movie

It had dark topics but it didn’t really say anything or show those topics care

Krypto being a misbehaved dog joke is getting so old that even my audience was kind of like “ okay “

Ehh the krypton flashback and the daughter plot line and the ending were done well enough for me

Krypto and the bus driver got the most laughs at my showing. He was fine in this.

I didn’t say he was good I said I liked they didn’t try to make us sympathize with him
