FreightMan I’m just completely out of step with this. With F4 being the last movie before Doomsday and Doom being their signature villain, this movie feels like something you have to see if you’re going to remain tuned into the MCU and their big event films
Yeah, but, I don’t care about that.
I’m evaluating movie versus movie, not movie versus movie leading into another movie.

Now if reviews come out and superman is the better movie that might change. I think both will be pretty average films

I mean, if anyone can pull off a superhero ensemble it’s f***ing James Gunn.
And as an aside, they don’t need much explanation or backstory, and I don’t think the movie will delve into any of that, they’ll likely be introduced into the film like any other character, superhero or not.
The movie might involve a lot of universe building that will fall short for the audience who arent familiar with the characters

yeah I have alot of dc comics and alot of marvel comics that I grew up reading but ive never been able to wrap my head around the wider dc lore. too much going on. the superman trailers are keeping that feeling alive lol.
