Ehhh they will start to care once third parties switch to ps5 and xsx, cause at that point only indies, some jrpgs and some 3rd party exclusives would come to switch. Im also thinking 2023 we could get the new Switch, but if op wants to play nintendo games i dont think its useful to make them consider a potential successor that hasnt been announced yet
Sure but you gotta keep in mind the chip shortages and s*** all of them dealing with, if more of the consoles was out there for sure
but a lot of that is holding s*** back right now, and console makers/publishers will make more money putting games on last gen and current gen for at least the next year or 2 still probably
Nintendo doesn't care about the hardware, thing is selling like hotcakes still as well
I think we 3 years off from them dropping a new console, maybe 2.5 years at best
Nintendo doesn’t, devs do though and Nintendo seems to be bent on 3rd party support
Damn switch og black version on sale right now for $379 cdn. Thats looking alright considering the only oled I can find is on kijiji for $550. Is the oled that much better to spend an extra $150?
WTF???? 380?????

What makes you say that?
Yea g. Consoles expensive in Canada.
Damn bro I was trying to find one for 150 🤣

I wish man lool. This dude on kijiji trying to sell me an oled for $550 and thats the lowest ive found. Smh

As tech and graphics progress, devs aren’t gonna want to back track and port to hardware that’s generations old. You may have a select few devs who are willing to, but even then, the graphics will be such a huge downgrade most people will shy away from the games. It’s inevitable

Yeah but outside of like the n64 they’ve always had the weakest console by a decent amount at least. As well the least amount of 3rd party support. Nintendo’s always been carried by its 1st party games
Can you even find original Switches anymore? S***s were just as rare as PS5s for a while
This would be a thing if it was the Wii. But the Switch is still selling and isn't slowing down so companies are going to keep throwing half baked games on to the switch even if the game looks like a potato. My switch barely gets bump outside Pokemon. Switch is just a Indies/shovelware box anyway. Jrpgs look, sound, and run better on my Ps4. Hell I got into disgaea and even that run better on my Vita.
I dont think 3rd parties will, we already dont get a lot of AA games like nier, let alone AAA 3rd parties, and being not one but 2 gens behind isnt gonna do good for the switch. I agree that it would keep selling, i originally thought it could last until 2025 and beat ps2 sales, but at this point i think its better for them to get a new switch going when the product is still hot and have both switch and switch 2 in the market until switch support ends

Yeah that's why i think its a 2023 release, 2022 is still gonna suffer from chip shortage. And i think they'll sell both consoles until switch support ends so they'll have cross gen games (like metroid prime 4)
What are some good single player games on switch? Just finished Metroid dread.
Won't lie I emulated that s*** on yuzu

SMT V has raving reviews. I just started it and it’s quite good so far
Try astral chain and bayonetta 1/2
I kinda wish I traded out my switch for a newer model cause this battery life is pretty ass
