Synesthesia is rather rare but also difficult to identify which makes it easy for simple color-sound association to be confused with it

I was so shocked when I found out other people didn’t see color with music lmao. It was a few years ago I made a thread on Twitter talking about the color of the songs on NWTS (Tuscan Leather is green, SFTB is blue, Worst Behavior is purple etc) and people were lost on what I was talking about.

Most Drake songs are different colors, The Weeknd is usually all black minus a couple like Earned It & True Colors. A lot of albums though kind of follow the same pattern, with a distinct one here and there.

When im fully sober i sometimes dont even have it at all, but whenever i smoke and close my eyes while listening or making music i have it and sometimes not just colours but full pictures/visualisations of something

I mean if you're picking between chord changes for example are you more inclined to pick the one that satisfies your synesthesia? Does it even give a "satisfying" feeling at all? Are some better or worse than others?

i've had it since i was a child i would automatically see shapes or colors in association with specific letters and numbers and music sounded like the windows media player vizualisation thing

sadly i feel like im losing it with time
