Wtf I just realize this way more than any Rihanna first week. How come Rihanna could never cross 300k? Rih had smash singles and everything.
There's only one artist that I feel that could've avoided all this if she had made the right decisions from the beginning
Chloe & Normani tbh
Respect our privacy please

She never was a big first week album seller for some strange reason. I believe if she were to drop now she’d do 600k at most though if the album great because of the anticipation
She's the exception? Idk why y'all are ignoring everyone's numbers being down in general lol
Baby, Future, Gunna, Durk all got their best first week numbers this year
I can probably find more that haven't had their numbers down this year but those are at the top of my head
Wtf 😳 way more than I expected. But good for her. She dropped a dope project and it’s nice to see the people rocking with it.
when the last time Cole sold over 350k?
He did 400k in 2018 with KOD
The Off Season did 280k with 12 songs. Most artists doing big numbers got 20+ songs on their album to rack up streams. If Cole did that he’s clearing 350k easy. He always drops short albums.
Chloe & Normani tbh
I don't know much about Normani situation, but with Chloe, it's really disappointing, because she has the benefit of Beyonce behind her and she had a sound with her sister that made both of them stand out.
But she threw all away so she can appeal to an audience that does not give a s*** about her music, and let her hypersexuality be the main coarse of it all.
And get with a nigga that has his ass against the wall with feds
All she had to do is study Ungodly Hour and make it sound more accessible.
Or hell continue working on CxH3
But Noooooo
In other words (in LSA Terms):
Definitely underperformed for where her status is in the music game and popularity
It’s ridiculous calling Renaissance an underperformance, when the last time she had an album and the singles placed so high on the charts, Bush was in the office.
Cole had 12 songs on his album. If he drop a 23 track album he’s selling like 400k.
We can't go off of hypotheticals, we have talk about what happened. Fact is she's about to surpass top-tier artists including Cole in sales.

4 out of how many major artists that this website follows?

ok but what does this mean?

Lucki too
I’ve been telling everyone all year, she is being positioned to become the next big superstar. Well deserved.
She doesn't want to drop anymore music tho, she's shaping up to be like Lauryn Hill

I doubt she's going to leave for that long. She probably take a hiatus, but a full retirement lol nah
Wtf I just realize this way more than any Rihanna first week. How come Rihanna could never cross 300k? Rih had smash singles and everything.
People don't see her as an album artist
ok but what does this mean?
Use that brain of yours genius, it means SZA is now in the top-tier artist conversation.
People loved CTRL but I don't think anyone had her in the "she's about to out sell Beyonce, Cole, Kendrick, Drake, ..." conversation.
That's actually an interesting point I wasn't taking into account, it probably did have an effect but hard to tell to what extent
I don't want to bring up the Drake Kendrick comparisons but I wonder if Her Loss would be doing higher or just about the same without the Meg line and discourse around it
It definitely would have. Same for Morale without the COVID and Auntie Diaries bars. People have to REALLY want to listen to you nowadays and if you’re already on the fence and Twitter beats listeners to the punch then that’s a wrap for your first week sales.
They tore apart Her Loss, HNVM, and Morale when they dropped.

ok we all already know that so shut up
