As OP of the Miike Takashi thread and biggest Miike stan on KTT i must admit Audition is not even in my top 15 favorite Miike films

I respect it though, for it's significance in cinematic history

But it's not a good starting point for his filmography, most of his films are actually a lot more FUN

ICHI THE KILLER is a masterpiece, even the trailer is a masterpiece in itself

Also u should really check out Gozu i think youll like it since he made it in his Ichi era and most consider it to be one of his best

Check out 13 Assassins since you seem to fw his darker but more realistic approach to films. It's a grounded epic with an hour long battle sequence

13 Assassins is fn great. Starts slow but the action is solid. That & Blade of The Immortal

ichi is a classic i didnt kno nothin bout director tho i gotta peep mo of his s***
