I’ll get the big Kubrick one when I have a place to put it, but it’s more that I kind of want to see most of them and I don’t got that kind of place/money.

I feel u, idk i'm personally not a fan of e-books or pdfs at all. For just reading text it's not so bad because you can read it on a e-reader which works the same as holding a book... but especially with Taschen books which are very focused on beautiful artwork and such i just prefer to have a physical

Filling your book shelf is a slow process but a very rewarding one. Just prioritize the stuff that interests you the most and work from there. Treat yourself with a nice book from time to time. It doesn't have to cost much if you're able to contain yourself Amazon is amazing for good book deals

lmao I must've been watching too many movies

Fun fact mister Jodorowsky himself is who put me on to tarot. And it does make me kinda biased towards him. He's an icon to me

Yeah ive bought like 6 books last month because I had spare bol.com gift cards and I got a big iPad that ive loaded full with books. Def getting some of these big visual books when I get a bigger place tho, but in the mean time would love to see them on my iPad.

Yeah I already had that feeling, cus I know you're a huge fan of him. I was considering watching Santa Sangre or Dance of Reality this week, but didn't know which one to pick.

    Let's see

    2 questions

    • which Jodo films have you seen before and what did you think of em

    • do you have any knowledge of him as a person/artist besides those films?

El Topo, Holy Mountain and the Dune documentary. El Topo was too weird/story made not enough sense for me to follow which made me think it was quite boring. Liked Holy Mountain a lot more cus I got way more of the symbolism in that one + it was all in all a way better/more interesting movie story wise and cinematography wise to me. Loved the stories in the Dune documentary. As far as personal life ive heard quite some in that doc and ive read his wiki page(, which I do on most directors I watch films of tbh).

Alright, yeah i consider Dance Of Reality to be his best work next to The Holy Mountain. But it's semi-autobiographical so it might not interest you if you either do not know/care about him as a person or if it simply doesn't connect with you on a personal level. That's why i asked

I'd say go with Santa Sangre first. It makes a lot more sense than El Topo and it might be his most newb friendly film to put it that way in terms of his fictional work
