I know some other people that have this happen and I just don’t get it. Do you just have the withholdings on your pay stub totally messed up? Legit curious what leads to that

Flipped a house this year. They don’t take federal taxes out at settlement.
Feels good making enough money that I don’t get a return but at the same time I kinda miss it
I switched from TurboTax to FreeTaxUSA this year. I can't recommend it enough. You can import any last year income tax form as PDF and it will fill everything in and apply any carryover. It's completely free for federal regardless of income and $15 for state, but living in California I will happily pay $15 than to deal with our tax system.

If I get a at least a couple hundred dollars maybe a couple tennis racquets or refurbished MacBook air
Imagine still getting a refund. If you getting a refund you definitely broke af. Ive had to pay back state and federal more and more every year because i keep leveling up.

I just got my refund. Check your banking account. The site hasn't even updated my status yet (stuck on Return Received) but the money is already there. I filed two weeks ago. Good way to start the week.
