The younger generation of rap fans have witnessed very few artists from their era break into the type of space that Doechii has. It’s wild watching them assume it just must be inorganic because it’s such a foreign thing for them to see
where is all the music to back it up is all im saying. Aint heard it

Hate when people use their own ignorance as some sort of flex or justification as to why something isn’t popping.
honestly im not necessarily "against" whats happening and I respect your stance as well. I'm not tapped in with her, not a fan so I just don't see it.
i feel that dawg. I’m not tapped into Sabrina and Chapelle, but from what i know, they big ofc for them numbers back it as well just maybe Doechii is seen in ways that attract the attention of the eyes in the industry (her IG and tour basically being a Thom Browne campaign and now she met him) and this is just the first year where the recipe has formulated at a much higher clip than we used to so her quality music (at least to those who make decisions) has her looked at even more and given opportunities as a result. Especially in comparison to her peers. I think Little Simz deserves a Doechii type moment, but she already goated and got that Drake link at any point so eh lmao

call it what you want but she just hasnt reached the heights (musically) that her newfound success suggests. it aint even about me being ignorant, damn near the whole country ignorant, aint nobody knowing doechii or her music forreal she hasn't had a true breakthrough moment (musically)
I feel a plant is just someone who's come up seems too quick or inauthentic. When you do research you realise 99% of artists that make it have backing or inner connections, just some have a narrative that seems more organic than others.
this goes back to the thing anthony mackie just said where success is given and isn't earned. ultimately the public will decide if they really like doechii or not and her sales are gonna reflect it the real issue was her winning a grammy and billboard artist of the year when she doesn't have much music that's critically or commercially successful
Punch turning up on Ye now
turning up on kanye is like whatever the opposite of taking the high road is
Punch turning up on Ye now
This is mild lmao

Or the fact that she won billboard artist of the year and it's only middle of March
