Raplic PriestI definitely see why it looks like that, I just find these convos interesting always. Just like the debate for example about if a college can only take 1 more student, should they take the white female who has a slightly higher GPA than the black female? Probably the black female because the white female might have an easier time getting into the other schools and for the purpose of diversity representation, but on the other hand, if the white female had a higher GPA, why exclude her?
I think these are important conversations that people are afraid to talk about or are too one-sided about. I was happy to see your thoughts!
historically black people with similar resumes to white people were less likely to get jobs.
even if you had a "black name" you were less likely to get hired.

Didn’t mean to create negativity or spread hate at all with the original comment. I agree that this year there were definitely female artists who should have replaced some of these male artists.
My only point was that in the event that there actually were 5 male artists who put out the best albums, and 5 males got nominated, there’s always someone who would try to knock the nominations.
Again, agreed that some of the nominations for this year are not good, that’s why my original comment said “what if there actually were...”
