Let's be honest, TML gets way too much hate on KTT and in this sxn. We're really acting like Fireworks - Karaoke - The Resistance is not one of Drake's best track runs ever? Fancy, Miss Me, Light Up, Find Your Love, 9am in Dallas are all great. Thank Me Now is an underappreciated outro.
Yeah, some of the tracks are pretty dated, but a solid portion of the album has held up well and imo contains some of Drake's best work. Especially The Resistance, which can easily be considered top 5 Drake.
It's not his best album, but it's solid as a whole. People act like it's total garbage.
Facts people be on my d*** too much
for me it’s one of those albums where nostalgia makes it sound better now, but if i didn’t have it i’d probably hate it in 2021. beats really haven’t aged that well outside find your love

Find Your Love is one of the beats that sounded dated the moment it came out
My fave album to listen to front to back. You’re a real one for having Resistance in your top 5 drake op
It’s also kinda weird how Drake also never really acknowledges TML .
Dont think he likes it too much because it had some major label influence. He said something along the lines of really finding his own on TC which had 0 input from the label
Take Care was when he distanced himself from the label and his management, hiring all of his friends etc so he probably has better memories attached to everything AFTER Tml
TML too nostalgic for me to listen to especially Resistance. Listening to that track rn and it hurts
I dont know much people that hate on it except on the ktt/internet and its more of take care being they favorite or first drake album so they more attached to that
Really good project. Drake summed it up best by saying “it was a project to show people from Toronto that these collabs are possible” but definitely not in the top Drake albums.
Resistance on a rainy, sad day is crazy though. Extremely personal track for me.

He said it was one of the only times where he felt like he didn’t have control of the vision of the album
He was more concerned with having big guests and showing he’d “made it”
It’s in the rap radar interview
TML is a solid ass album. It has no bad tracks in my opinion. His old s*** is just so nostalgic
I don't think it gets too much "hate" per se. It was just a disappointment for fans and Drake himself as a follow up to So Far Gone. Take Care sounded way more like the natural evolution of his sound after that then Thank Me Later did. Then he went on to create many projects better than it so it just gets this weird position in his category.
But yeah for sure wasn't bad. It was a very good album. Fireworks, Karaoke, The Resistance, Light Up, Find Your Love, and Shut It Down some of his best songs. So sad 9AM in Dallas and You Know, You Know didn't make though. I added those songs as well as Paris Morton Music to my version of Thank Me Later and it elevates it so much
