Its more a collection of songs than an album and I think that is where the critic is understandable.

Drake said it himself TML was just him trying to prove he belongs and establish his place in the game instead of doing genre bending experiments.

Never forget Drake was the first artist since 50 Cent in 03 with a buzz like that.

I think he delivered for the pressure he was under! He even had to push it back a month.

TML reminds me of high school so much. I have fond memories to it but it’s easily his worst output imo

No one really hypes TML when praising his discography, but it’s also not bad at the same time. Let’s not act like Drake today could recreate classics like The Resistance, Fireworks, Karaoke, and Unforgettable.
