But yeah, if Kanye fully produced Tha Carter 3 back then, it would've definitely been an instant classic. No doubt about it.
I'm assuming that the reason that it didn't happen was because Wayne was such a huge megastar back then, that producers from all over wanted a piece of that album, they all wanted to send Wayne beats. So i'm sure Wayne and his camp didn't want one single producer to be solely responsible for such a monumental album that Tha Carter 3 ultimately ended up becoming.
i would much rather have a tyler produced wayne project in all honesty
You are alone with that one

All the Tyler and Wayne songs are great, it’d be better than the recent singles he’s been putting out
it’s crazy y’all made this thread
I’ve been on a 05-07 Wayne deep dive and saw a Fader article where he said this out of his own mouth.
“…To that end, Wayne has recruited acclaimed (and equally ego-driven) producer Kanye West to provide beats as well as aesthetic guidance for his next album, Tha Carter III. "West is gonna help solidify me as an artist, not just in hip-hop," he says. "Cause I wouldn't even be thinking that way if I didn't hear his beats.
He got me on a song with Babyface!"
I assumed it fell thru because of his mother but interesting to hear Wayne actually told him to stop sending.
This should have still been a project somewhere in 08-09. What Watch The Throne should have been tbh they could have used a different name though
For them to have no direct predecessors late 2000’s Ye and Wayne are crazy influential and birthed so much of what our culture revolves around now lol
why would Donda have an issue with Ye making beats for Wayne?

Her passing away in December 2007 and I assume Ye took time off from whatever he was working on at the time

for sure
But would Wayne even complete the album?
I feel like it would end up like a bunch of other scrapped Wayne projects that he records but moves on from for a year or 2. I wouldn't even be surprised if years later, Tyler comes out and says "we recorded half an album in 2018 and then Wayne went on vacation & forgot about it"
You Ain’t Got Nothin is a highlight from Alchemist’s first run (The Realest - Chemical Warfare)
for sure

artists who would make an S tier album with majority Tyler production or exec. production:
1. Wayne
2. Nicki Minaj
3. Baby Keem
4. Ice Cube
5. Vince Staples
6. Earl (although he would most likely produce a lot as well)
7. King Von (RIP. He's a drill artist but when you really comb through his work he was 100% a crazy lyricist & storyteller. wish he got a chance to work with Tyler, even if only for one song.)
to be fair wayne was at an insane level of popularity. he was probably getting beats left and right. plus label politics may play a role in beat selection

someone gotta find these cause people have ravaged anything wayne has made in that time period lol
