This delay is whack, I need The 1975 music for quarantine! I am surprised it's delayed when they have 24/7 to work on it during the quarantine.

Oh well, the tracklist is looking nice! Need this album, hopefully I don't die before it comes out.

ILIWYS is 1h14min long, they can handle it.

Yeah but that one had a lot of fillers. Not a big fan.
But I'm still hoping for something good.

Singles were 3/4 for me.

I'm surprised someone agrees with me. I would get rid of 3 songs from ILIWYS but the common opinion is that ILIWYS has no filler.

Plus their debut album had 16 songs and not a single one was bad, they can definitely do long albums.

The fact that this album has 7 good songs already is crazy. I truly think they could nail a 22 song album with no filler.

live before but I wish the song was Just Matty

I love it

Was never too crazy about the live one he played, I like this version better.

Kind of indifferent to Phoebe’s contribution tbh

Song gives me Sufjan Stevens vibes in the best way possible

I really think this is gonna be their best album yet

Man, I was excited for this but why couldn’t it have been in any other song?????

This is what I’m feeling so far related to ranking the songs from this album:

1. Me and You Together Song- SS tier, sounds like self-titled The 1975 which is my favorite sound from them. Relatable lyrics and very catchy.

2. Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America- SS tier, The way Matty sang this was absolutely breath taking and the story telling in this song is incredible. The live version was better, however. [Might move down from SS tier to S tier with the official version, I need more listens. Right now I’m keeping it above People but that could change. That’s how much I loved the live version{

3. People- SS tier, The 1975 embrace the fact again that they are in fact a rock band. Love the heavier sound and hope we have some more songs on the albim like this. Lyrics and sound is very catchy. I debated putting People over JC2005.

4. Guys- SS or S tier, from the live videos I have watched I absolutely love the overall sound of the song and the lyrics definitely hit home and make you think about your own friendships that you have. The rhythm is infectious even though it’s soft and I really need the studio version ASAP.

5. Frail State of Mind- S tier, I absolutely love the electronic sounds but I wish the song had more lyrics. I think it works but could be even better if less of the song was just straight instrumental. I debated putting this over Guys but for now the Guys hype has caught me hard.

6. Too Shy- S tier, this song is an absolute bop. From the live videos I can tell this song will pop off like the upbeat songs on ILWYS. This song to me could be SS tier when I hear the studio version because I don’t really have any issues with it other than I’m not sure I enjoy the subject matter of the song.

7. The Birthday Party- A tier, I need more listens to this song but right now I’m feeling it’s the worst of the songs so far but I still love it. I’m still trying to dissect everything about the sounds and the lyrics but they seem to be quality work and I feel like the simplistic lyrics that we have seen so far from this album in general will be a positive rather than a negative. This song could move up tiers with more listens.

I love love Together Song so much, there's nostalgia here like it's the same enjoyment I had back when I would put Chocolate on rotation over and over again

But it's not the same case w the rest of the singles, few I felt iffy but what's already for sure is they all got me excited for this next record. Like their approach is more wacky this time around and I love that the songs aren't very drawn out even though that's like one of the major reason I love ILIWYS.. and Brief Inquiry was us getting more of that
