And what about acts like Outkast who have bars and an ear for what sounds good?

I have no idea what you’re getting at

But name dropping Outkast is an awesome rebuttal lmao

They deflee know what sounds good.

Kanye is the epitome of a rap artist who knows what sounds good, rather than to just rely on bars.

It’s the only way to justify the last three minutes of ‘Runaway’ lmao

Beyoncé most overrated of all time

    Not at all lmao

She’s without question the greatest female entertainer of all time

No one else is even close

If so, name them. Link some of their performances lol

She probably is the greatest performer of our time. I just say she’s overrated and don’t like her much. I’m what they call a hater lol.
Rap isn’t respected/ as grand as what Beyoncé does but I would Say Nicki if it was

Yes she is and has many songs that I like a whole lot
I prefer Aaliyah for sure but we all know what they did to make that not be what it was going to be

    Mmm Hmm

@op really comparing beyonce to the goat MJ.

Only move people remember from beyonce is the single ladies thing.

    We remember everything from mj.

    ICONIC

Single Ladies is one of the worst singles of all time lmao

In fact, that entire album was terrible! Beyoncé being the goat entertainer that she is is a testament of why that album was “successful”

Without the visuals, that album would be a 2/10 rather than a modest 6/10 lol

You say my key sentence “I’m what they call a hater”
    I’m hating
I don’t like Beyoncé that much
    But she has immense talent

I’ve never called a single user in this thread a hater, maybe you have me confused with someone else

But anyway, I feel like KTT in general hates on Beyoncé, or if not, doesn’t give her her jest do.

She’s undoubtedly one of the greatest female entertainers of all time, if not the greatest.

Janet isn’t as diverse as Beyoncé, and Aaliyah didn’t have anywhere near the natural fluidity that Beyoncé has.

Look up the definition of “fluidity” then get back at me lol

It’s like teaching someone a sport compared to it being instilled within them naturally

Janet Jackson's run from Control - The Velvet Rope is one of the most diverse runs in pop history. Not to mention she was one of the first acts to do New Jack Swing before it was hot even before her brother Mike did.

And Aaliyah's influence is still felt today in a lot of R&B acts lol

All this means is that you don’t know the definition of fluidity lmao

But, you’re right about Janet, her influence is still very prevalent.

S*** from the MJ collabs alone, Pleasure Principal etc....

i know what you mean about fluidity, I'm just confused cuz i dont even get your reasoning with this list. It's all over the place.

Stevie Wonder is an amazing artist but he makes an "ENTERTAINER" list alongside Michael Jackson & James Brown before acts like Prince & Janet Jackson do.

What is the criteria for this list.

I guess I’m giving Stevie a crutch because of his disability, but he’s definitely a goat entertainer nonetheless.

    Who’s your top 5 or 10?

    I’m curious

My top 5 entertainers in no order is Michael, Prince, Janet, James Brown & probably Little Richard.

Again this is just in the term of spectacle and being a trailblazer in terms of setting industry standards.

Michael cuz he's the quintessential male pop star and every male pop star after him has followed his blueprint.

I put Prince cuz I consider him to be the direct evolution of acts like Jimi Hendrix / George Clinton & Funkadelic / Sly & The Family Stone. The theatrical black rock star that made his own mythology,

    Janet I already explained why.

James Brown is the blueprint for Mike.

Little Richard cuz Elvis stole from him and then other whites stole from Elvis which essentially makes Little Richard the OG Rock & Roll superstar.

In terms of straight artistry it gets more complicated, cuz there's so many great artists in general

Awesome the way you broke it down

However, I’ll stick stick with my top5.
Isn’t it amazing how Afro Americans are so superior? (When it comes to artistry) like there’s not even a single white person who comes close?

And I’m the last person who’d start a race war, but I can’t help but acknowledging how awesome we are
