From Alc’s collab album run for past say, three years, has he missed for you?

I personally don’t like the beats on God Is Perfect or Trillion Cut at all. I also don’t like the first half of The Final Board, which is funny because the second half is like top 10 Alc for me

Now that both EP’s have been repackaged as an album I can definitively answer what one album I would take with me on an island

I don’t think he has “missed”. Even his weaker albums (from my perspective) are still great and have mad replay value. His highs are REALLY high (like Bo Jackson/LULU/Alfredo) which makes it really tempting to categorize his other s*** as misses but nah

One thing I will say is that I do not put Super Tecmo Bo on the pedestal everyone else seems to lol. I like it though

I think ALC is dumping next year. Larry June/Boldy/Earl plus whatever pops up out of nowhere

Production wise, Clip In A Tray eclipses anything on Bread and Lunch Meat

Clip In A Tray is crazy

If you had never heard any of this tape before tonight the tracklist would be insane off first listen

All 3 of these are going to be next level

Part of what made me love Lunch Meat and Bread so much is the texture of the songs and how they feed into the concept/art direction on each. Lunch Meat songs sounded thinner while the songs on Bread have a heavier heartier sound. I probably sound crazy to some but with that in mind Big Syke and Clip in a Tray fit perfectly on their respective sides

Love his loops but he needs to add structure, effects, sounds, filters or something

Took some thinking but I think it sounds n good in this order

Yeah one huge thing I learned from Al is how he loads his beats with little effects and transitions

He’ll have a 2 bar loop for a whole song but have like 20 random effects and tiny switch ups

That’s why even his drumless 2 bar loops don’t get repetitive
