I love the mix of super in your face beats and really subdued production that really lets Big Hit’s voice shine

That first beat on Dirtball is straight up anxiety inducing lol, what were they smokin. Even more so cuz I knew that beat switch from the teaser was coming

Champion might be my fave Alc beat of the year so far, those keys are gorgeous and you can’t beat those classic Alc muffled drums

HB came correct too ofc, that Sly Slick Wicked beat sounds like something from the Boldy x Craven albums

My only nitpick is that aside from that melodic guy on Count Your Blessings (he was fire), there isn’t really a strong chorus anywhere. I also do wish there was at least one more track similar to Gank Move, having it at the end makes it feel like a bonus

it's been a crazy morning with work and I haven't really sat with this s***

but my first impression is that all 3 of these people came together and made some good rap music. no reinventing the wheel here or anything but Hit-Boy is executing at a level better than I've heard him do with Nas/Benny and actually holding his own against Alchemist which is something I never thought I'd say.

Big Hit is also just such a good MC period. He's not super lyrical or anything but he just sounds GOOD and incredibly authentic over these beats. I've seen people call him a nepo dad and that s*** is f***ing dumb, having a rapper like this in your family must be a blessing if you're a producer. hope Big Hit is able to stay out of trouble because he has a bright future if he keeps coming like this
