He had a more regular rap style for most of his career

Then when he started the more talky Roc Marci/Action Branson type flow, I feel he needed to grow into it a bit (although he’s had great verses in that style)

And this tape is him really figuring it out and actually becoming a great vocalist with that flow

I liked his early style a little better. That 08-2012 style is still my favorite. That Chemical Warfare, Cookbook, Gangrene type s***.

I like him and know he started as a rapper but he is SO good as a producer that it almost feels like “mom said I have to go with you” whenever he does rap but he was holding his own here

I loved how the album starts with “Ferraris in the Rain” and ends with a bar about being depressed in a Mercedes

Somethin I always love is when Alc does his own version of a specific/popular type of beat

Like Thowy’s Revenge feels like his iteration of that Family Ties/Middle Child horn trap beat that was popping around then
